State Champions Darren and Joshua Eggins sailing Pumpkin Eater

Welcome to the Tasmania NS14 Association. The NS14 is an Australian designed sailing dinghy, intended for competitive family sailing. It has a simple rig, is light enough to be lifted from a trailer (fully rigged) into the water by 3 persons of average strength, requires only reasonable fitness to sail, and is affordable by the private sailor.

25/03/10 - New State Champions Darren and Joshua Eggins
Congratulations to our New State Champions Darren and Joshua Eggins sailing Pumpkin Eater After the blow of the Crown Series the previous week, conditions on the Derwent River were very light and unpredictable for the three day regatta sailed out of Lindisfarne Sailing Club.

Every race had light to variable conditions and at times it was a lottery. Every wind direction imaginable was experienced. Darren and Josh overcame the conditions to win the series convincingly over his closest rivals with very good and consistent sailing throughout the series.

Tasmanian State Championships 2009
Congratulations to Nick and James Richardson who sailed
"The Hedgehog" to a second consecutive State Championship.

The march long weekend saw the Tasmanian State Championships sailed at Port Dalrymple Yacht Club on the Tamar River. The racing was close and competitive in mostly light to moderate sea breezes, with one race in a light southerly and the first two in a shifty westerly. Nick and James defending the championship had three wins in the first three races. Peter Davis in "Spinifex" made things interesting on the second day with two wins and had to win both races on the last day to snatch the championship back from Nick. The last day of racing saw "The Hedgehog" win the first race to take out the championship.
